LEGAL RELEASE FORM
Character Transfers
If you want transfer your character from the old Syraandor database please email reneerules@gmail.com
Have the subject line say:
"transfer to new NH game" or "transfer out of the old NH database"
It's worth noting that when requesting to have your character transferred, you should follow up with Renee', just to make sure she received it. With all the varying types of email out there, it's not uncommon for some addresses to be listed as spam. I would also recommend not waiting until the last minute to have your character transferred, as that is fun for no one.
Restricted Item Transfers
Alliance Deadlands is currently accepting restricted items from all active Alliance chapters. However, the management reserves the right to refuse any transferred item at any time.
You can contact logistics through the email address below and character transfers can be emailed to that address as well.

Anyone attending in a group is strongly encouraged to send a group history and short synopsis of each character in the group (ie: interests, skills, goals, quirks, etc.) If, for example, you have a group that specializes in werewolf hunting we would be happy to write a group plot line around that, and this is certainly not limited to previous NH players. The more effort and positive attitudes we see coming from a group the more we will write for you. That has always been and will be the driving method/philosophy behind this chapter.
Preferred format for character/group histories
Vital Statistics: Character name, race, class, level, player name.
Keywords: 3-6 words or two words phrases that highlight important aspects of your character or group. These could be things like: Enemy: Fever Grey, Shy, Drunk, Protective: Children, Hiding, Pacifist, Fear: Spiders, Sailor, Hates: Slavery, Ally: Fever Grey, etc.
Main Body: This can be presented as a story, a series of journal entries or letters, a bulleted list, an IM conversation, anything that makes eat easy for you to communicate about who your character or group is and what they've done with their life so far. Some things that should be included are Family, Friends (if any), Enemies (if any), and Personality (if any. Lawl @ KC.). Some things that should not be included are how you slayed teh dragon, how you're really 50th level but you're pretending to be level 2, how you're actually half fey, etc. To clarify: it's perfectly okay to say that your family was killed by Lord Voldemort and you have a startling scar. It's not okay to say that everyone says you're the chosen one and that there's a prophecy linking you and Voldemort.
Friendly Reminder
If you do not send me an updated character history, you will not get personal related plot.
This is true for everyone, even staff members.
You must send the history as an attachment to deadlandsovermind@gmail.com
Please Note
Hi. Just wanted to give a heads up to everyone that I really only can update people on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays due to my work schedule and toddler son. If it takes me more than a week to get back to you please send me a follow-up e-mail to make sure I'm paying attention to you. I'm not maliciously ignoring anyone, I'm really not; some e-mails just get lost in the shuffle. I just discovered a few like that, so do make sure I'm doing my job for you. Thank you all for your patience thus far and your feedback.

1) After first being removed due to customer service issues we are reintroducing the Love effect into the game. As a caveat to this ruling we wish to say in no uncertain terms that if this effect is abused or exploited to the detriment of another player you will be banned from this chapter. This is a Love effect, not a Lust effect. It can be expressed in purely platonic forms. If you feel threatened, nervous, or in anyway uncomfortable about roleplaying this effect, or how someone is roleplaying this effect toward you, all you need to do is contact any staff member or a marshal and we will deal with the situation as necessary.
2) Amnesia will now be creatable by PC's with a special LCO catalyst. The details will be provided in game. Amnesia's from other chapters will still be inert in Deadlands.
3) Monster Slayer Undead will not be stackable with any other aura. (Edit)
Here is an amendment to the Slayer ruling. To simplify things and make a nice easy blanket policy that we feel is fair, we have decided to change our policy.
If you are using a Monster Slayer/Race Reaver you may not combine it with any other carrier, you may only use the magic carrier the ritual provides. All rituals can stay active on the item, but not stackable with the Monster Slayer/Race Reaver. This includes cast blade spells. This is a measure to maintain game balance. At the end of the season we will review this ruling and decide whether or not to keep it in place or repeal it.
4) The Caldaria based Human Enhancement Potions and their effects will be allowed in the Deadlands chapter.
5) Drain Life
Drain Life will be part of the Necromancy group, so if you have cloak/resist/bane necromancy it will work on this effect. If you are hit by the Drain Life effect multiple things will happen. First, you will be Drained, this will not be able to be removed by standard means. A Purify or Dispel will have no effect on Drain Life. Secondly, you will loose 1 Body Point off of your total Body Points every 15 minutes until the Drain Life effect is removed. If you reach -1 body, you will have your one minute bleed out count and your five minute death count for someone to find a way to heal you. After that you will dissipate and ressurect as normal.
Drain Life is curable through a life spell or resurrection.
Example: Character X has 30 body. Character X then gets hit with a Drain Life carrier, he may be immediately healed to full body i.e. 30 though he is still under a Drain Effect. In fifteen minutes if unhealed and he takes no further damage, Character X will have a maximum of 29 body. So yes, it comes off of your max body. So if uncured you will eventually whittle down to a maximum of -1 body, and you will die.
If you have any questions about these rulings, or our rules in general, feel free to contact me either on these boards or my gmail account.

1) Body - Unless it specifically says immune to the carrier "Body" on a character card, this carrier affects everything in this chapter.
2) Fire - Unless the respective character card says otherwise, all fire effects cause double damage to all undead in this chapter.
3) Massive Carrier - The Massive carrier will deal damage regardless of where the blow lands i.e. legal body target, weapon, shield and so on. It can not be parried, riposted or blocked with a magic armor. It can be dodged or evaded.
4) Blink - Blink is a defensive ability that combines the effects of a Phase and an instant Rift count. If an NPC calls "Blink" after being struck by any form of attack, then that NPC did not take any damage and has immediately rifted out.
5) Elemental Strike - Elemental Strike acts as a Spell Strike except it deals elemental damage rather than a spell effect. It is a weapon delivered attack that acts as a packet attack, i.e. if it strikes you or any of you possessions you take the effect. The proper verbal incant is "Elemental Strike (damage amount) elemental (element type). If you had a 30 point Lightning Elemental Strike the verbal would be Elemental Strike 30 elemental lightning.
6) Destroy Undead and Harm Undead Alchemical Acid- Destroy Undead and Harm Undead Alchemical Acid are LCO alchemical attacks that, unless otherwise noted on an NPC card, inflict damage to all undead in the NH chapter. Destroy Undead Alchemical Acid inflicts 50 points of damage, while the Harm Undead Alchemical Acid inflicts 20 points of damage. The items are represented with orange gas globes, and any player wishing to throw either item must have 3 levels of alchemy. Any player who attains the recipe for these effects in game can produce them at logistics. The cost of production is the same as would be a 7th level or 3rd level potion, respectively. These effects cannot be resisted by the skill Resist Poison, as they are not considered to be poisons, in the traditional sense of the rules. The proper verbal to deliver these attacks are "Destroy Undead Alchemical Acid" and "Harm Undead Alchemical Acid", respectively. The purpose of these effects is to give alchemy users an opportunity to be effective when fighting the undead. Given the high prevalence of undead in the NH chapter, we felt it was a necessary addition for the purpose of class balance.
The IG message board is assumed to be an actual message board on a wall in the IG tavern called "Vulgar Gargoyle". The tavern is located in an area most commonly referred to as "The Bastion of Chiram's Hollow" on the continent of "Laerthan", also now most commonly referred to as "The Deadlands".
Posting:
To post on this board either your character, or someone who could feasibly put up a post for your character, has to be able to get to the board.
In between events, characters traveling from other IG continents can often materialize within the borders of Bastion of Chiram's Hollow. So, if your character simply would prefer not to be in the Bastion while he or she is not actively adventuring, or if you plan on chapter hopping, it is feasible to post IG in between events.
Travel within The Deadlands:
Please note that travel within the lands of this chapter is rather different from some of the other games in The Alliance. Firstly, traveling from one area of the continent to another is somewhat challenging, since the majority of the lands are now considered lost, uncivilized, and overrun with undead and various other monstrous races. In between events, the portals to the other Bastions on the continent are closed off, so it is extremely difficult to get from (for example) The Bastion of North Fortress to Finn Castle Bastion in one month. Such travel would require an IG justification, such as an NPC who has the ability to rift assisting your character. A plot submission would be required in order to coordinate this sort of travel.
The Portal:
All of the Bastions in The Deadlands are portals to one another, but only Finn Castle Bastion is a portal to the mists which take a character to another continent. Unless otherwise informed by plot, your character cannot mist travel from the lands of other chapters into any other area of these IG lands.
IG Newsletter
Lastly, please observe the Announcements section for the IG message board. If people desire to submit reports, essays, news, stories and recaps of recent events, that is where you will be able to find them. If you submit something that's pretty good, you'll be compensated with gobbies. The better the quality of the submitted item, the more gobbies you'll receive.
Please feel free to email me if you have any further questions, or is you have something you'd like to submit to the IG reports/news section.
